Tuesday, November 20th, Day 1, A Week

Today is The Transgender Day of Remembrance. The day is observed annually to memorialize those who have been murdered as a result of transphobia and to draw attention to the continued violence endured by the transgender community. Over 40% of transgendered individuals have attempted suicide and in the last year, over 238 transgendered people were murdered. Now more than ever, the Trans community needs visibility and tolerance. If you want to know how to be an ally, join us at our next Gay Straight Alliance meeting on December 4th.

Monday, November 19th, Day 2, A Week

Please wear purple tomorrow to honor the memory of the many victims of transphobia. Today’s Fact: Roughly one million nine hundred fifty-four thousand people identify as transgender. The Gay Straight Alliance will also have a meeting tomorrow in room 256, from 8:15am-8:45am. Come join us!

For anyone who ordered Spiritwear- PTSA will be distributing it today from 10:30am - 12:30pm outside the student cafeteria. Please pick up your order at that time.
